Anvil

Today I learned a valuable lesson, I learned about cats iron, cast steel and forged anvils. I went to the shop(Name purposefully ommitted) and bought and anvil that i was wanting to buy. Only to shortly find out by accident, whilst looking up types of anvils. that i had just bought a cast iron anvil. Cast iron anvils and softer that steel anvils, when struck with a hammer they do no resonate as much and hammer strikes ten to transfer all force into the anvil. A steel anvil will cause the hammer to rebound and the anvil will make a ping sound. So tomorrow I will be returning this anvil, I will just have to wait until a good steel one turns up. Remember always rather spend a little more or save a little bit longer and "buy good once!"
